State Representative Mark Thompson was first elected in 2002 to the Arizona House of Representatives. He serves as Vice Chairman, House Human Services Committee, is a Member, House Health Committee, and Member, House Transportation Committee
Representative Thompson’s first political experience was First Vice Chairman of the Republican Committee of District 27 then Chairman of the Republican Committee of Legislative District 27 He is a Precinct Committeeman and has also served as 1998 Elected State Committeeman, Arizona Republic Party a Member of the Arizona Republican Party Resolutions Committee, a Member of the Maricopa County Republican Committee Executive Guidance Council, and Member of the Maricopa County Republican Committee Bylaws Committee

Representative Thompson is married to Connie Thompson and together they have two sons, Matthew and Thomas and two Boxers known as Diamond and Sage. He has been an Arizona Resident since 1975 and was educated at Tempe Union High School, Arizona State University, and University of Phoenix. He and his wife own Adult Care Consultants, Tempe.
